Our Job Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Abstractor Coordinator to join our team in Chapin, SC.
Interact by telephone and email with external abstractors and county recorders offices and internal departments to ensure that all active field research document retrieval orders and walk-in recording requests are completed satisfactorily within prescribed timeframes.
Job Duties:
- Follow established company guidelines on responding to requests for information and/or services and respond to all communications in a professional manner
- Communicate with abstractors on a daily basis via outbound and inbound telephone calls and email to verify that they have received all assigned orders and obtain ETAs for their completion
- Coach abstractors on order requirements and fulfillment guidelines for all types of field research requests Provide feedback on search errors and initiate corrective action as appropriate
- Recruit and secure vendor agreements with new abstractors across all counties and recording jurisdictions in the United States to expand our coverage depth
- Coordinate with internal departments as needed to resolve abstractor inquiries
- Utilize multiple software applications to perform various tasks necessary to manage order inventory
- Escalate inquiries or requests as needed to the appropriate department or level of management for immediate action
- Handle other miscellaneous tasks as required
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer literacy including keyboard skills and proven experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Demonstrated experience in detail-oriented tasks
- Ability to learn and retain requirements for multiple tasks and to effectively move from one task to another
- Experience work in a team environment where team members have both common and differing responsibilities
- Up to two years of related experience
- Familiarity with recorded mortgage documents
- Experience working in a production environment and achieving daily production goals
- Telephone based customer service experience
